Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of SICenter — our website, public scan and report flows, accounts, and the continuous exposure monitoring platform. Please read them carefully.

01Who we are

SICenter is the commercial name of Mex Strategic Intelligence Center, S.A. de C.V. ("SICenter", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Mexico with address at Periférico Sur 4118, Piso 8, Jardines del Pedregal, CDMX, México. These Terms apply to www.sicenter.io, its subdomains, and the related applications and APIs (together, the "Services"). For legal matters, contact legal@sicenter.io.

02Acceptance & eligibility

By using the Services, creating an account, submitting a scan, requesting a report, or subscribing to a plan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and the organization.

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials confidential. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.

03The services

SICenter provides external attack-surface and exposure intelligence in two tiers:

  • Public tools & reports (free): standalone checks (such as DMARC/email-spoofing, SSL/TLS, security-header, and subdomain discovery) and one-off, executive-level summaries of a domain's external exposure — informational and generated without an account.
  • Continuous Exposure Monitoring (paid): authenticated accounts that discover, inventory, and continuously re-scan your external assets — open ports, services, certificates, DNS, and known-vulnerability (CVE) exposure — and alert you to changes.

Our outputs are informational cybersecurity assessments. They are not exhaustive audits, penetration tests, legal opinions, incident response, or guarantees of security. A clean result does not mean no risk exists, and a reported issue does not by itself confirm exploitability or business impact. You remain responsible for validating findings and deciding what action to take.

04Authorization to scan

The Services actively probe the domains, hosts, and assets you submit. You may only use SICenter against assets that you own, operate, administer, or are otherwise expressly authorized to assess.

  • You represent and warrant that, for every target you submit, you hold all necessary rights and authorizations to permit SICenter's active scanning and continuous monitoring of it.
  • For continuous monitoring, we require domain-ownership verification (e.g. a DNS record) before recurring scans begin. We deliver detailed reports only to an email address on the verified domain.
  • You must not target third parties, infrastructure you do not control, or assets in violation of any law, contract, or acceptable-use policy of a hosting provider.
  • You are solely responsible for, and will indemnify us against, any scanning you authorize without proper rights. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe a target is unauthorized.

05Accounts & organizations

Paid features require an account and a workspace (organization). The person who creates an organization is its owner and may invite members and assign roles. You are responsible for all activity under your account and organization, for your members' compliance with these Terms, and for promptly notifying us of any unauthorized use at security@sicenter.io.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or to target assets you are not authorized to assess.
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Services; abuse rate limits; or circumvent access controls or gated content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, resell, sublicense, or create derivative commercial offerings from the Services or their outputs without our prior written permission.
  • Upload or submit malware, or use the Services to violate the privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights of any person.
  • Use the Services in violation of applicable export, sanctions, or anti-corruption laws.

07Subscriptions, fees & billing

Plans & fees

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring (monthly or annual) basis at the prices shown at purchase. Fees are stated in the currency presented at checkout and are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); you authorize us and our provider to charge your payment method.

Auto-renewal & cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.

Refunds & changes

Except where required by applicable consumer-protection law, fees are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partial periods. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable prior notice; changes apply from your next renewal. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination.

08Your data & content

As between you and us, you retain ownership of the inputs you submit (your domains and configuration) and of the scan results and inventory generated for your organization ("Customer Data"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to process Customer Data solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may generate and retain aggregated or de-identified data (such as anonymized signatures, fingerprints, and operational metrics) that does not identify you, and use it to operate and improve the Services. You can export or request deletion of your Customer Data as described in the Privacy Policy; on account closure we delete or anonymize it within a commercially reasonable period, subject to legal retention.

09Service availability, beta & changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and may perform maintenance, at any time. Features labeled beta, preview, or experimental are provided "as is," may change or be withdrawn without notice, and carry no warranty, SLA, or support commitment.

10Intellectual property

SICenter and its brand, software, report formats, designs, methodologies, signatures, and all related materials are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services and their outputs for your internal business evaluation. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

11Confidentiality

Each party may access non-public information of the other (including, for you, your scan results and findings, and for us, the non-public aspects of the Services). Each party will protect the other's confidential information with reasonable care and use it only to perform under these Terms, except where disclosure is required by law.

12Third-party services & subprocessors

We rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers (subprocessors) to operate the Services — including hosting, databases, scanning compute, payments, email delivery, and external discovery sources. The current categories and providers are listed in our Privacy Policy. Their availability or performance may affect the Services, and your use of any third-party service is subject to its own terms.

13Disclaimers

THE SERVICES, SCAN OUTPUTS, AND REPORTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. We do not warrant that the Services will detect every exposure, remain uninterrupted, or be free from errors, omissions, or delays.

14Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SICENTER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF REVENUE, PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR SECURITY POSTURE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

15Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SICenter and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your scanning of, or content relating to, assets you were not authorized to assess, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

16Term, suspension & termination

These Terms apply while you use the Services. You may stop and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Services in a way that risks harm to others or to our infrastructure — immediately for serious or unauthorized-scanning violations, otherwise with reasonable notice. On termination, your license ends, outstanding fees become due, and we delete or anonymize your Customer Data as described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. payment, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability, indemnity) survive termination.

17Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico City (Ciudad de México), and you consent to their jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your place of residence provides otherwise. Nothing here limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

18Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when published on this page, unless a later effective date is stated; material changes will be communicated by reasonable means.
